The Ramp is a house of awakening where hundreds from across the world gather to pursue the one true, living God. It began in 1998 when Karen Wheaton followed the Holy Spirit’s drawing back to her hometown, Hamilton, Alabama, and was alarmed by the apathy and sin that infected the youth of the city. A small prayer meeting with seven teenagers quickly grew into the international ministry the Ramp is today. Although young people primarily attend, the Ramp is not just a youth thing; it is a hunger thing. Countless numbers have been impacted, forsaking a lifestyle of sin to embrace a real relationship with Jesus Christ. Those awakened ones, once dead in sin, are now the revival and the movement intercessors have been praying for. The Ramp’s intent is to summon the youth of the nations to the reality of Jesus Christ and to equip them to impose His Kingdom

Description:   Sharon Alexander of our Preschool/Nursery Department is organizing this event as a fundraiser for equipping her department. For donations, please call her at the church’s office and leave a message.

Kat Kerr and her ministry team are coming to Tupelo with a desire to reveal not only heaven, but especially the love of  Father God.  She will be at Good News Church on Sunday, May 16 at the 10:30 am & 6 pm services,as well as 7 pm services Monday and Tuesday.  Also, there will a question and answer session on Tuesday morning from 10-noon.

Her books for adults, plus CD’s and DVD’s will be available for purchase, including her newest one and some for children that will be released in time for her arrival.

Her latest book, presently being written, will reveal more about the “throne room of God, the heart of the Father, and empowering believers for the awesome move of God that’s coming”, she told Pastor Terry on March 30.  Also, she will share fresh revelation from the Haggai 2:9, ”The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former’ says the LORD of hosts.  ’And in this place I will give peace,’ says the LORD of hosts.” She will also share about what the “Baptism of Fire” is, which especially includes love and holiness.

We are encouraging those who will attend to fast and pray during the 21 day period prior to her arrival,  beginning April 26.  Mrs. Kerr particularly suggested that we fast media and other voluntary worldly encounters during the three days immediately prior to her arrival, as this helps one to be spiritually receptive to what the LORD would say and reveal.

Saturday, April 10, the men of Good News Church will gather in the Annex building for food, fellowship and sharing.  This meeting begins at 7:30 with breakfast and concludes about 9:00, closing with individual prayer.  Sometimes a testimony is shared so that we get to know one another better and also hear about the great things the Lord has done for, in and through our lives.

You’re invited to experience the joy of men gathering to tell about the goodness of their Savior and share His love with each other!

On Resurrection Sunday, April 4, Good News Church will celebrate the day our Lord Jesus Christ rose from the dead, triumphing over sin, hell and death on our behalf!  ”For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.” Romans 8:2

We will have drama from our Youth Drama Team and songs of joy by our children and pre-schoolers.  Pastor Terry Garrett will share how we are to be “Touching Heaven…Changing Earth” because of Jesus Christ’s liberating work and empowering presence (a.k.a. ‘grace’).

We hope that you will join us if you are able and celebrate the victory of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection from the grave.  ”This Jesus God has raised up, of which we are all witnesses.  Therefore being exalted to the right hand of God, and having received from the Father the promise of the Holy Spirit, He poured out this [Holy Spirit at Pentecost] which you now see and hear.” Acts 2:32-33

On Sunday March 28 at the 10:30 worship service, Brother Elise from “Here Am I, Inc.” in Haiti will be with us.  Hopefully he will bring some powerpoint pictures to share, but best of all, he will bring the cry of his heart for his native Haitian people!

This Wednesday, Pastor Terry will share with the “When Heaven Invades Earth” class what took place on the recent trip to Washington, D.C. with intercessors from Mississippi and from around the nation.

Due to the enormous success of a previous trip to the  Washington, D.C. and New England, a network of intercessors under the oversight of John Benefiel of the Heartland Apostolic Prayer Network will again assemble to “stand in the gap” (Ezekiel 22:30) for our nation.

During this trip, which will take place Sunday, March 14 – Wednesday, March 17, five intercessors from each state of the Union will gather in Arlington, VA, to prepare for strategic level spiritual warfare over our nation’s capital.  Five sites will be visited by one representative from each state, with the expectation that the Holy Spirit will be directing the strategies, prayers, discernment, declarations, etc.
